The Full Story: Faith, a Federal Case, and a Second Chance

You may have read about Sean P. Jackson's federal case, the wire fraud charge, the sentence, the headlines. This is the rest of the story, told in his own words. Sean has never hidden from what happened. He walked through the federal justice system, served his time, and came out with a conviction of a different kind: that the system he experienced from the inside is exactly the one that needs reform, and that no one should be reduced to the worst chapter of their life. Three terms as Chairman of the Black Republican Caucus of Florida, a lifetime of civic work begun at nineteen, and a faith that never left him, all of it now points in one direction. Sean fights for second chances because he has needed one. He talks honestly about incarceration because he has lived it. And he believes, as Scripture does, that redemption is not a slogan but the whole point. This is where that story gets told in full, without a filter, and where the work of moving forward continues.

IN HIS OWN WORDS

On the Record

“Redemption is not a talking point. It is the whole reason this work matters. I have seen the system from the inside, and I intend to tell the truth about it.”

Sean P. Jackson · On Criminal Justice Reform

“The party has done a poor job of courting the Black vote for fifty years. You cannot show up in the ninth hour and expect trust. It has to be year-round.”

Sean P. Jackson · Chairman, BRCF
